A LOSS FOR WORDS HIGH WYCOMBE SHOW "REVIEWED"
.
On Friday 5th march, A Loss for words, having toured extensively in the
United States as well as in Japan, with Four Year Strong, Set Your
Goals, and Energy, among other bands. graced the stage in High Wycombe
as part of their UK Tour. After their explosive live set, packed full of energy and expression,
the crowd were indulged with a Jackson 5 cover, which received wide
applause. After the show we caught up with the band to ask them a bit
about themselves. | Here's what they had to say:
Q. What are your Influences?
A. Well we are influenced by the diy pop punk scene we grew up around,
with peers such as New Found Glory, Set Your Goals, Midtown, AFI etc.
Q. Is there anything that annoys you about current fashions or trends etc.?
A. YES, kids that think its cool to brush their hair and have fringes
and that wear tight jeans, that's not us we don't consider ourselves to
be “scene” , far from it were just 5 average guys doing what we love
and believe in.
Q. What would you say to people who don't like your music?
A. If you like us fuckin sweet, awesome; if not fuck you, we don't care
what people think we're just here to play music we love and if you
don't like that tough.
Q. Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?
A. We see ourselves being a band that loves touring meeting new faces
and places, that can earn a wage doing so, we don't have any big
ambitions, we seek only to be recognised and to carry on doing what we
love doing for years to come, and to be able to afford to do so.
Q. Which of your songs mean the most to you and why?
A. Well we did this Acoustic ep a while back and the song “All Roads
Lead Home”, means so much to us personally and its like one of those
songs you set to “repeat” over and over. Its our favourite song.
Q. What are your goals in life?
A. To see the world, have fun, party hard, work hard and earn a wage from what we believe in.
Q. Anything else you'd like to add?
A. We liked the show in High Wycombe as it had a good atmosphere and
the guys from Backdown, were fun, awesome to talk to; and it is was fun
sharing a stage with them even though we're a different genre. We also
feel like were the last of a kind sometimes with all the recent
explosions of internet crazes like crunk which we despise, we like to
keep it real, with the original diy attitude.
